In this article, I would like to show you how easy it is to create a Power App to read business cards using readily available AI Builder prebuilt productivity model in Power Platform.
What is a Business card Reader model?
As per Microsoft docs,
You can use the business card prebuilt model to extract information from business card images. If it detects a business card in the image, the AI model extracts information such as the person’s name, job title, address, email, company, and phone numbers.
Supported language, format, and size

The business card model extracts a lot of information from an input image. Given below are the most important ones that are usually stored as contact information:
- Full Name
- Company Name
- Job Title
- Full Address

Sample Business Card Reader Power App
We will build a simple one screen Power App where a user will be allowed to select a business card image. As soon as the user makes this selection, the Power App will extract the information that we will display in labels.
